MainStreet Breckinridge: New Adult Living Center Nears Completion in Duluth
OneStreet Residential, a Southeast developer and operator of active adult rental housing, is putting the final touches on MainStreet Breckinridge, a $21.6 million rental community for active adults age 62 and better. Scheduled to open in January 2018, MainStreet Breckinridge will offer residents an affordable lifestyle with amenities in an extraordinary location and is the third MainStreet branded property developed by OneStreet Residential. Located close to I-85 and Pleasant Hill Road in Gwinnett County, MainStreet Breckinridge is a joint venture between OneStreet Residential and the Charlotte Mecklenberg Housing Partnership. The project was designed by Foley Design Associates Architects and built by Swinerton Builders (formerly Cambridge Swinerton Builders, Inc.).
“We believe our communities extend the quality of life of our residents by providing social engagement through our amenities and activities which foster new relationships. MainStreet Breckinridge will be no exception of this core belief” states Brendan Barr, Managing Partner of Development at OneStreet.
OneStreet Residential is known for creating amenity-rich, active adult communities throughout the greater Atlanta area, most notably in their HearthSide and MainStreet communities. Both brands focus on meeting the need for providing high quality senior rental housing in suburban locations. The brands are truly for the independent active adult, and do not offer meals or healthcare to their residents. MainStreet Breckinridge is no exception, offering community gardens, a media room, fitness center, aerobic studio, and spacious exterior courtyard.
“The highlight for the community will be the expansive courtyard between the buildings, which will offer the resident gardens, a fountain, grilling stations, dining tables and seating areas” says Barr.
One and two-bedroom residences feature open living design, Energy Star appliances and large walk-in closets. This is the first MainStreet community to offer residents the option of an enclosed building or an open-air building.
OneStreet is committed to green building and has designed MainStreet Breckinridge to meet EarthCraft™ House Multifamily standards. Sustainable building practices include energy-efficient appliances, indoor air quality improvements, LED outdoor lighting and more.
A soft opening for media and community leaders will be held later this year. The grand opening is scheduled for early 2018. For leasing information, please visit the website at www.mainstreetbreckinridge.com or call the leasing office at 678-460-2873.
